Interview with Michael Galaty

Michael Galaty currently works as the Director of the Museum of Anthropological Archaeology at the University of Michigan, while also simultaneously being involved in archaeological fieldwork in Greece, Albania and Kosovo. Professor Galaty's is a co-director in The Deros Project in the Mani region, which has made many prominent archaeological discoveries. Professor Galaty also maintains an active interest in Mycenaean archaeology and he is involved in projects such as the Iklaina Archaeological Project. In this video, Professor Galaty explains his experience with cultural preservation both in a fieldwork and a museum setting, while also thoroughly unpacking what the average person needs to do to ensure that culture is preserved.
